Yangtze River Cableway (Yangtze River Cableway), located in Chongqing City, China, running between Xinhua Road in Yuzhong District and Shangxin Street in Nanan District, began construction on March 20, 1986 and was completed and put into operation on October 24, 1987. The Yangtze River Cableway connects Yuzhong District and Nanan District of Chongqing. The scenic spot consists of Yuzhong City History and Culture District, Yangtze River Aerial Sightseeing District and South Bank Film and Television Culture District, covering an area of 9.8 square kilometers. The Yangtze River cableway is 1166 meters long, the running speed is 6 meters/second, the one-way running time is 4 minutes and 30 seconds, the maximum passenger capacity is 65 people, and the daily passenger capacity is 10,500 people. On December 15, 2009, the Yangtze River ropeway was listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Chongqing. On February 6, 2018, the Yangtze River ropeway was rated as a national AAAA tourist attraction. On December 31, 2019, the Yangtze River ropeway Scenic spot was included in the list of "the first batch of Chongqing Smart Tourism Demonstration Scenic Spots". On November 18, 2020, it was elected as the "Chengdu-Chongqing Trend New Landmark".
